Way back in 1995, Mark and Jen were wandering through Watkins Glen and stumbled into the amazing jungle gym there. Soon after, Mark found a number of other, closer gyms. For a few months, he and Jen would often go down to Lansing to goof off there.
At that point, it wasn't a workout, it was just playing around. That began to change when Mark invited Fred over to Lansing to see why he wasn't showing up at the climbing wall anymore. After that, Mark and Jen realized that there was more to do there than just what the kids were doing.
The real revolution didn't occur until early in 1996. Then Mark and Fred went down to Watkins Glen for what they innocently thought would be an easy workout. That was when rooves were discovered. They spent an hour and a half climbing upside down, and, in the end, realized that they hadn't scratched the surface.
After that, we went to a jungle gym every Tuesday and Thursday unless the weather made it impossible.
